One to one admissions guidance

Admission in Spain is won before the exam, on the day you choose which subjects to sit and which universities to apply to. That decision hands out more points than three extra months of studying.

What we talk about in the session

Your actual case, with numbers. What access mark your record gives you, how much the PCE can add, which subjects suit the universities you are aiming at, and which cutoff marks are realistic for you.

If you arrive with one faculty in mind, we leave with a list of four to eight, ordered by probability. Betting everything on one is the mistake that costs the most years.

What usually goes wrong

Choosing subjects before universities. Weightings change by region, so the same subject can be worth two points at one university and one at another. The university list comes first, the subjects after.

Sitting only two subjects. Only the best two count, true, but sitting four or five is what protects you from a bad day. It does not add points, it buys insurance.

Reading the cutoff mark as a fixed threshold. It is the result of one year's supply and demand, and it moves. It is better read as a band than as a figure.

What you leave with

A written report of the conversation: your target universities, your subject combination, the dates you cannot miss, and the plan B if your mark falls short. None of this is left to what you remember from the call.

And one month of follow up questions by message, which is when the real questions appear: when you open the UNEDasiss form, when you see the exam calendar, when you compare two universities.

Frequently asked questions

Is it useful if I have not finished secondary school yet?

It is especially useful then. The sooner you know which subjects suit you, the more room you have to prepare them properly and to resit if you need to.

What is UNEDasiss and why does it matter so much?

It is the accreditation that converts your school record into the Spanish scale and gives you up to ten base points. Without it you cannot apply, and processing it requires legalised documentation from your country, which is the slow part.

What if my mark is not enough for Medicine?

There are routes: private universities, related degrees with later transfer, resitting to raise your mark, or studying in another European Union country. We go through them with numbers, not with consolation.
