Administrative appeals

A negative decision is not always the end, and a stalled file is not always an unavoidable wait. In both cases there is a document that can be filed, and a deadline running while you think about it.

90 € per appeal

A review of your decision and your deadlines, the appeal written and argued, instructions to file it, and one month of follow up questions by message.

When an appeal makes sense

When the decision refuses what you asked for and you believe the criteria applied do not match your record. When you are required to complete supplementary training you consider disproportionate. Or when the legal deadline has passed with no answer at all, which is the most common situation and the one most people let slide.

Administrative silence in these procedures counts as a refusal, so waiting indefinitely does not work in your favour: it uses up your deadline and gives you nothing back.

What I do and what you do

I review the decision or the state of your file, identify how much time you have left, and prepare the complete document: the facts, the legal grounds and what is being requested, with the supporting documentation set out.

You file it in your own name, at the right registry, following the step by step instructions I give you. I do not act as your representative before the administration and I am not a lawyer. I prepare the document for you to file.

That distinction matters, and I say it from the start so you know exactly what you are hiring.

Deadlines come first

Before anything else we look at the dates. Administrative appeals have short deadlines that start running from the notification, and a flawless document filed late is worth nothing.

If the deadline has already passed, I tell you, and we look for whatever alternative remains, which is sometimes reapplying with a stronger file rather than appealing.

What it includes

  • A review of the decision received or of the state of your file
  • A calculation of the time you have left and the exact deadline
  • The appeal written out, with facts and legal grounds
  • A list of supporting documentation worth attaching
  • Step by step instructions to file it yourself in your own name
  • One month of follow up questions by message

Frequently asked questions

Can I file an appeal without a lawyer?

In administrative procedures the interested party may act on their own behalf, with no lawyer required. That is why this service works: I prepare the document and you file it. If the matter ends up in court, a lawyer is required there, and I tell you in time.

Does appealing speed up my file?

It is not a guarantee and not a shortcut. What it does is oblige the administration to rule on what you have raised, within its own deadline. Sometimes that unblocks a stalled file and sometimes it does not.

What happens if the appeal is rejected?

The judicial review route remains, which is a court procedure and needs a lawyer and a court agent. I explain what that means in time and cost so you can decide with the information in front of you.

Does this work for credit recognition at a university?

Yes. Partial credit recognition decisions are issued by the university and can also be appealed, with their own deadlines and their own registry. The procedure changes, the approach does not.

Check your deadlines first

Send me the date of your decision or of your application and I will tell you whether you are still in time.

If you have not started the procedure yet, begin with homologation and credit recognition.
